Health Declaration and Waiver
By booking a seat in the sauna, you agree to this waiver.
Guest Declaration
I confirm that I am voluntarily choosing to use the Ember Haüs sauna and, where applicable, lake access at Litton Lakes.
I understand that sauna use, heat exposure, cold water exposure and open water swimming involve inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, overheating, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, burns, slips, trips, falls, cold water shock, drowning, illness, injury and death.

Intoxicated or under the influence of recreational drugs
-
Currently unwell
-
Experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, faintness, dizziness or acute illness
-
Aware of any medical reason why sauna use, heat exposure, cold water exposure or swimming would be unsafe for me
-
I confirm that if I am aged 16 or 17, I will attend with a responsible adult who remains present for the session.

-
Heart disease or cardiac symptoms
-
High or low blood pressure
-
Fainting episodes
-
Epilepsy or seizures

Sauna Use
I agree to:
-
Follow all instructions given by the Sauna Host
-
Leave the sauna immediately if I feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, breathless, uncomfortable or unwell
-
Use the sauna in sensible intervals and take breaks as required
-
Not touch the stove, stones, flue, firepit or hot surfaces
-
Use the emergency bell if I need assistance
-
Not add wood to the stove or interfere with the fire

Not bring glass into the sauna or lake access area
-
Remove metal jewellery, watches and wearable devices before entering the sauna, and understand that metal fixtures on swimwear may become hot
Lake Use
Lake access is optional and provided as an additional part of the Ember Haüs experience. It is not guaranteed and may be suspended at any time due to weather, poor visibility, unsafe lake conditions, operational concerns or staff safety concerns. If lake access is suspended but the sauna remains open, no refund will be due solely because the lake is unavailable.
There is no lifeguard on duty. The Sauna Host remains on site but is not acting as a lifeguard or providing active water supervision. Guests use the lake at their own risk and remain responsible for deciding whether they are safe and able to enter the water.
Guests must be capable swimmers, comfortable with cold water exposure and aware of the natural risks of lake swimming.
Guests must only enter and exit the lake using the designated swim platform and ladder. Diving, jumping, pushing, rough play and swimming outside the designated area are not permitted.
Guests should enter the water gradually, limit cold water exposure to around 2 to 5 minutes, and exit immediately if they feel breathless, dizzy, panicked, weak, overly cold or unwell.
Guests are strongly advised not to swim alone. Lake use must stop immediately if instructed by the Sauna Host.
Personal Responsibility
I accept responsibility for my own decision to use the sauna and lake. I understand that I must act within my own limits and stop immediately if I feel unsafe or unwell.
Lead Booker Responsibility
If I am the lead booker, I confirm that I will ensure all members of my group read, understand and follow the safety rules and complete any required declarations before use.
Water Availability
I understand that drinking water is available at the cafe and at the sauna. I agree to hydrate appropriately before and after sauna use.
Emergency Assistance
I consent to Ember Haüs staff contacting emergency services if they believe this is necessary for my safety or the safety of another guest.
Liability
Nothing in this waiver excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
